3 Injured, 1 Seriously In 2-Car Hunterdon County Crash

A two-car crash sent one person to a trauma center, injured two others, and appeared to split one of the vehicles in half late on Saturday, April 29.

The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the crash on Route 31 near List Road in Raritan Township around 11:05 p.m., they said.

One of the victims had to be rushed to a trauma center, but the weather had grounded all medical helicopters, requiring the squad to transport the victim to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by ground ambulance.

The remaining two victims were taken to Hunterdon Medical Center with “less serious” injuries, the squad said.

The Raritan Township Fire Company also responded to provide hazard mitigation and fluid clean up.

Mutual aid services were initially requested and later canceled. The scene was cleared in about 90 minutes.

The crash investigation was being handled by the Raritan Township Police Department.
